We come back here time and again when we head down to Hythe or thereabouts. Went as a group of 6 including 4 children. Great food. Everything you’d expect from a British Fish and Chip shop. They do a takeaway and have a small restaurant to eat in. Lots of food options. Chips cooked in vegetable oil separate from the meat and fish which makes it suitable for plant based eaters. Lovely chips, onion rings and mushy peas. My son had large fish and chips and was super impressed with it. I had the vegetarian burger and chips which was lovey.

Very tasty fish. We choose large portions which were really big. Nice chips. They serve beer, ale, and wines which is big plus.

Delicious scampi, cod and chips, tasty and not at all greasy. Chips crispy and fluffy. Friendly service, too. Difficult to say about atmosphere as we arrived soon after opening and were the only ones there. Food is always well cooked here, we are returning customers.

The Little Fish Shop – 02 Nov 2025 Tucked away in Folkestone, this gem of a chippy absolutely blew me away on my first visit—I’ve never had fish and chips quite like this before! Popped in on a crisp autumn evening, and the place had that welcoming, seaside vibe with a short queue that moved fast.

We got takeaway here and it was delicious. The staff were very pleasant and the food was incredible. Especially the curry sauce! Fish was cooked fresh and the chips were perfect!
